It's not cool to visit Blackfoot, Idaho and miss out on this experience! It happened to us once. They were closed for repairs. But we have conquered it now.

  We are back for a stay on the bayou.  Home, for the time being, is the Picou Farm.🐎🐔🌱 We have been graciously welcomed to park and stay a while, and it feels like we never left😊 We don't keep our windows closed much lately as we might miss out on the sounds provided by the farm. We have experienced many different places, sights, and sounds, but there is definitely something special about living among these characters. Many of the images below were captured by a quick peek out of our windows. Beauty!!  .....precious family time, l💞ving on the bayou grandbabes😊, and just plain fun..... A quick drive from Cut Off takes us to some Greensburg Naquin moochdocking time😁 While enjoying time here again, we decided a visit to the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium had to happen.   Any true fan of HGTV's "Home Town" featuring Ben & Erin Napier will appreciate the following. We surely did enjoy our time here. It is a truly lovely and beautiful place!! If you have the opportunity, book a ride with a tour guide. This was a wonderful experience! While waiting for a place on the tour cart, we enjoyed lunch, strolling through the downtown area and its charming shops, and fun time at the park. This restaurant has a one-of-a-kind idea. Instead of handing out crayons and activity menus  to their young guests, they opt for Wikki Stix to create art on the walls. Brilliant!! This area caught my eye as one that Ben and Erin may, at some point, signal out to add to Laurel's beauty. But, even now it offers a certain antique mystique of its own. Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

  Here we have a true treasure located a few miles south of Daytona Beach. It is one you may never have heard of before.  It is new to even my "loves everything lighthouse" Mom who has done a boatload of research. Let me know if it is not, in fact, new to you😊 Standing in all its beauty, it's hard to believe it has not yet been discovered by all. A total of 203 steps took us 175 feet up to these remarkable views. As if the lighthouse tour itself was not worth the tiny admission fee, we were able to discover much more as we walked the beautiful grounds peeking into some buildings, stepping into others, and stopping to study exhibits along the way. This gorgeous National Historic Landmark displaying a stunning rusty hue claims the title for Florida's tallest and the entire nation's 3rd tallest lighthouse. If in the Daytona area, a stop to check this one out is definitely worth your while!
