Mount Rainier & North Cascades

 As Washington State continued to captivate us, we were introduced to a few more of its gems. 

Did we continue on to get up close and personal with an active volcano? We sure did! Known as a sleeping giant to most volcanologists, this one boasts a snowy peak that sits 2.7 miles above sea level. 

It comes as no surprise that it had us in awe.

Why stop now? The Evergreen State is not holding back! Here comes North Cascades National Park!!

But if we must be perfectly honest, it was not the easiest to get to. We may have gotten what some would call lost. We called it the most beautiful big detour we've experienced yet. We followed Little Miss GPS (Come on! You know her too!) to a place called Heather Meadows thinking we were on a fast track to North Cascades National Park. We exited the vehicle in utter amazement and were so happy about the detour.

Just when you'd think you were done for the day taking in mountainous charm, North Cascades is ready to display its wonderful self.

Home on the Bayou

  We are back for a stay on the bayou.  Home, for the time being, is the Picou Farm.🐎🐔🌱 We have been graciously welcomed to park and stay a while, and it feels like we never left😊 We don't keep our windows closed much lately as we might miss out on the sounds provided by the farm. We have experienced many different places, sights, and sounds, but there is definitely something special about living among these characters. Niagara Falls

A long day of towing from Burlington, VT to Grand Island (New York that is) earned a very special outing. It was time to explore Niagara Falls💦    We arrived ready to jump onto a Maid of the Mist boat for a very exciting and soaking adventure! Getting up close and personal with the most powerful waterfall in North America with 600,000 gallons of water each second vying for attention is not an endeavor that leads to walking away dry!  Cannon is looking just a little bit apprehensive here as he wonders just what it is that he's getting himself into. It could be that he isn't fond of his new attire for the trip. And here we are after our waterfall shower😀 We'll close in the gap of time between the above shots by sharing some of the footage we were thrilled to grab.  Once we had disembarked, we decided to tackle the many steps before us to acquire the panoramic presentation below. Happy 1st Birthday Alfie - - Louisville Zoo Day

Since its beginning in 1969 with 250 animals, the State Zoo of Kentucky has been putting smiles on faces young and old. As we travel, zoos that are new to us are something we keep our eyes peeled for.  Considering we had not yet made our way to this one, we were very excited to finally visit. Beautiful weather and sharing Alfie's birthday turned this day into something truly special. Join us as we savor memory making moments spending a few hours among the over 1,000 animals as we stroll through the Louisville Zoo. At the gate and ready to go!
