Arches National Park

Ever changing rock formations! Blue sky above! Winding roads taking you through jaw-dropping walls! It's time to let Arches National Park take center stage! Similar to being presented with an ink blot test, this drive includes one formation after another calling to the imagination for a name. The possibilities are truly endless. There are no wrong answers. From a trio of gossips to a massive boulder appearing to be performing a balancing act over 100 feet in the air, Arches is a must-see if passing through the Moab area. This was one of the windiest areas we encountered that day. They battled. They conquered. Zooming in is surely necessary to find them fighting to stay upright in the center of the above picture. As we passed Wolfe Ranch we decided to tackle the uphill hike to a good view of well-known Delicate Arch. Adding a bit of unexpected fun, our shadows were caught by chance joining us in this clip as we hiked up the trail. As we wrap up this peek into one of the Beehive St

Canyonlands National Park

It was time to get acquainted with and explore Moab, Utah. At the top of our list was Arches, but Canyonlands, although not quite as popular, definitely had much to display. We are so happy to say we did not pass this one up. After a quick stop at the visitor center for a film, Junior Ranger book, and a look around, we were off! Grab those trekking poles! Let's go!! Stunned by the view of desert trails among the various formations as the sand blew around and around, we turned our focus to the background featuring snowcapped mountains. What depth! The eyes can hardly take it all in. With many sandy steps logged for the day and tummies now growling, this picnic area with a view was a welcomed sight. We unpacked and held on tight hoping to not lose our potato chips to the wind whirling around our heads.  A unique and barren tree provided more than a cool view.  Can you say natural playground? Canyonlands! What a place!! More on the way soon๐Ÿ˜€

The one thing we kept wondering as we trekked through this place was "How did we not ever hear about this one before?"๐Ÿ˜• Come along with us as we share an unforgettable tour in Montrose, CO. One can certainly begin to feel tiny contrasted with this immensity. We stood in awe, captured, as best we could, the beauty, and moved on to take in more of the greatness we had the privilege of surrounding ourselves with. From overshadowing rocky crags to glistening emerald green water making its way through the canyon and so much more, this park continuously serves up one awe inspiring moment after another. Although a chance to gawk at these climbers steadily making their way up was awesome, the lizard grabbing a few minutes to relax and bask seemed like a much easier guy to imitate. Sorry, but no pictures of us scaling any mountains available today๐Ÿ˜   Do you see this one taking it all in while perched on that rock? Let's get a closer look. We and our new reptilian friend will s
