A Unique Hike In 'Little Grand Canyon'

We are not in the Southwest, but yesterday sure seemed like it.

We probably would have left this area without knowing about Georgia's 'Little Grand Canyon' if Tractor Supply had what we needed a couple of weeks ago. We pulled into the parking lot that afternoon only to learn that there was no propane available. An informative gentleman shared that we could go over to Driver's for what we needed. He gave directions, and we were on our way. Once there, we got our refill and a nice bonus education about this beautiful gem. As we researched this park further, we learned that these canyons, which reach depths of 150 feet (That's as deep as the Statue of Liberty is tall!), were caused by poor farming practices during the 1800's. If only all mistakes produced such amazing beauty!

Yesterday, we laced up the hiking boots and headed out. The weather was absolutely perfect for a hike with sunny skies and temperatures sitting at just over 60 degrees. We were pretty amazed at what we saw as we explored Providence Canyon State Park in Lumpkin, Georgia.

ON YOUR MARK! GET SET! GO!!!!

Very grateful, at this moment, for this thing called waterproofing
